Llinos Medi has been a County Councillor representing the Talybolion Ward since 2013 and in 2019 became the Leader of Anglesey County Council; the first female to ever take the role.

She leads the Plaid Cymru Group within the Welsh Local Government Association and is also the WLGA spokesperson for Social Services.

Llinos is a an Anglesey girl having been brought up on a farm in the village of Llanddona and being educated at Ysgol Gynradd Llanddona, Ysgol David Hughes and Coleg Pencraig in Llangefni before moving into the world of work with several jobs across the island.

She has spent time as a carer in the Council's Care Homes and also as a Youth Worker with the island's Youth Clubs - two jobs which have heavily influenced her political outlook.

Llinos hopes to join the active Plaid Cymru team in Westminster, and believes Ynys Môn needs a voice that will always stand up for the true needs and values of the Island.
